Canadian Art Mart is a Canadian family-owned business located in Victoria, British Columbia. The website serves as a reference catalog for a substantial archive of signed and numbered limited-edition lithographs published during the late 1990s.
The archive currently consists of approximately 72 intact portfolio collections containing nearly 5,000 lithographs and representing more than 600 distinct artworks by Canadian and American artists. The collections feature wildlife, landscape, Indigenous, western, and contemporary themes organized across nine curated portfolio series.
Many of the prints were produced in the studio of renowned Canadian master lithographer M. Bernard Loates, as evidenced by the studio chop mark found on selected works. Other collections were published and distributed through Winn Devon Art Group.
The lithographs were originally commissioned as part of a structured limited-edition portfolio publishing program administered through Capital Visions Inc. Art Management. Artists created signed and numbered editions that were assembled into themed portfolio collections for distribution throughout North America.
Over time, many of these portfolios were donated to charitable organizations and later entered the secondary market. Canadian Art Mart acquired the collections through charity auction sales and has preserved them in their original portfolio format.
Today, the archive is presented online as a searchable catalog for qualified buyers, including auction houses, charitable fundraising organizations, gallery networks, corporate art brokers, commercial art distributors, and other organizations seeking established limited-edition art inventory.
The collection is available through portfolio acquisition and is not offered for individual retail sale.
The Canadian Art Mart Portfolio Archive consists of signed and numbered limited-edition lithographs originally produced during the late 1990s as part of a structured portfolio publishing program.
The works were published primarily through Winn Devon Art Group and associated with distribution through Capital Visions Inc. Art Management. Many of the portfolios later entered the secondary market after being donated to charitable organizations and subsequently sold through charity auction channels.
Canadian Art Mart acquired the portfolio collections through charity auction sales and has preserved the archive in its original boxed portfolio format.
While original publisher-issued certificates of authenticity are not available for most works, many prints include visible authenticity indicators such as artist signatures, edition numbers, publisher or studio chop marks, original portfolio box labels, and consistent portfolio organization.
Canadian Art Mart has issued its own collection documentation for inventory records and buyer reference. This documentation is not presented as original publisher certification, but as a record of the archive as preserved and catalogued by Canadian Art Mart.
Knowledgeable buyers, dealers, auction houses, and art professionals are invited to review the collection structure, sample images, edition markings, chop marks, and portfolio labels as part of their due diligence.
The archive has not been recently appraised as a complete collection. Given the size and specialized nature of the inventory, Canadian Art Mart expects qualified buyers to conduct their own review and valuation based on artist representation, edition sizes, condition, portfolio integrity, resale channels, and acquisition objectives.
Comparable individual prints by represented artists can be found in secondary-market listings, but the archive is being presented as intact portfolio inventory rather than as individually appraised retail works.
The archive is being offered as intact portfolio holdings and is not available for individual retail print sales.
The website serves as a visual reference catalog for the nine themed collections, representative artists, and artwork images contained within the archive. Acquisition inquiries are welcome from auction houses, charitable fundraising art programs, corporate art brokers, gallery networks, commercial art distributors, framing networks, and qualified inventory buyers.
