TRICIA BERG

Tricia Berg is a dynamic artist renowned for her evocative and thought-provoking work that challenges societal norms and explores the depths of human experience. Born in 1952, and growing up in Oak Park, IL, Tricia's passion for art was evident from a young age. She pursued her artistic dreams by attending the prestigious Pratt Institute, where she honed her skills in painting, sculpture, and mixed media. It was during this period that Tricia developed her distinctive style, characterized by bold colors, intricate details and a deep emotional resonance.

CARSON GLADSON (1940 - 2023)

Carson Gladson was a remarkable artist whose contributions to the world of art cannot be overstated. Known internationally for his breathtaking landscape paintings, Gladson's artistic evolution and relentless passion for creativity left an indelible mark on the art community. Carson Gladson's artistic talent was evident from an early age. At just 19, he held his first solo exhibition at the Long Beach Museum of Art. This debut was met with critical acclaim, including a rave review by Los Angeles Times art critic William Wilson. Impressed by his work, the museum director purchased one of his pieces for his personal collection, as did several museum staff members. This early endorsement set the stage for Gladson's illustrious career.

Although he initially pursued abstract paintings characterized by subtle colors and biomorphic shapes, Gladson eventually shifted his focus to landscape painting. During the 1970s and 1980s, he produced large-scale drawings that featured transcendent use of color and light. These ethereal works often depicted specific locations in Southern California, Oregon, Washington, and Vancouver, BC, as well as mythic creations born from his imagination.

While many referred to him as a California plein air artist, his contemporary style set him apart, making this characterization only partially accurate. Gladson's work was too innovative and modern to fit neatly into any single category.

ELLEN GUNN

Born in Canton, China, Louisa Li's artistic roots trace back to her early childhood. In 1985, Louisa and her family immigrated to the United States, first settling in Tucson, Arizona, before eventually making their way to the vibrant art scene of New York City. This move across continents not only broadened her cultural perspective but also enriched her artistic vision.

Living in such diverse environments, from the serene landscapes of Tucson to the bustling streets of New York, has greatly influenced Louisa's work. DOUG OLIVER

Born in Dayton, Ohio, in 1942, Doug Oliver's artistic journey began when he moved to California as a young boy. At just twelve years old, Doug discovered his passion for painting, a passion that would shape his future.

Doug pursued his love for art through formal training in high school and college, honing his skills and developing his unique style. His works reflect a deep understanding of art's technical aspects, combined with a personal, emotive quality that resonates with viewers.

Today, Doug Oliver is celebrated for his ability to capture the essence of his subjects, creating pieces that are both visually stunning and profoundly moving. His dedication to his craft and continuous pursuit of artistic excellence make him a respected figure in the art community.

ROBERT SCHAAR

Robert Schaar, a native Californian was born in 1933.  Schaar is renowned for his evocative and vibrant portrayals of historical aviation, space exploration, and Americana themes. With a career spanning over five decades, Schaar has cemented his place in the art world with works that capture the imagination and inspire a deep appreciation for the pioneering spirit.

Born with an innate passion for art, Robert Schaar began his artistic journey at a young age. His talent was evident early on, leading him to pursue formal education in the arts. Schaar studied at the prestigious Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California, where he honed his skills and developed a unique style characterized by meticulous detail and dynamic compositions.

Schaar's work is distinguished by its ability to blend historical accuracy with creative flair. His paintings often depict iconic moments in aviation and space history, from World War II fighter planes to the awe-inspiring scenes of astronauts exploring the unknown. Greg Singley's artistic journey began in earnest when he earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. His early works were noted for their meticulous attention to detail and lifelike representations, but as he matured as an artist, he began to incorporate more abstract elements, reflecting his evolving perspective on the human experience.

ROBERT STRIFFOLINO

Robert Striffolino, born in New York in 1950, has always had an eye for design and creativity. His early passion for architecture culminated in a degree from Ohio University, where he graduated in 1974. This foundation in structural design greatly influenced his approach to art, imbuing his work with a sense of spatial awareness and form.

In 1978, Robert made a life-changing move to the vibrant landscapes of New Mexico. It was here, inspired by the sweeping vistas and unique cultural tapestry, that he transitioned to painting full-time in the 1980s. His work began to reflect the rich colors and textures of the Southwest, combining architectural precision with the fluidity of natural elements.

Robert's art is a harmonious blend of his architectural background and his deep appreciation for the natural world. Each piece invites viewers to explore a dialogue between structure and spontaneity.
